Hi - This page is to help Miss Bailey. "Bailey" was found on a dark road in NC on a Saturday night in February. She was running in the road, had no collar, and was emaciated. It is unknown how long she was in the elements. She was brought to our home by my daughter, where we sheltered her and began the search for her owners as we are unable to keep her due to household humans with allergies.

She is a hound mix and the sweetest dog we've ever met. She loves everybody! She obeys some commands and doesn't bark or whine. The shelter stated they could keep her for a week and then put her up for adoption as long as she passed the tests, and if she didn't, they would euthanize her. Learning this is the process and knowing how sweet she is, we would not allow her to meet an undeserving fate. So, we took her to a vet and learned no microchip, positive for heartworms, hookworms, and not spayed.

Yikes, that's a costly reason for many to not want to give this amazing girl a forever home. Bailey lucked out because after 8 days with us, a coworker named Ryan has taken her into his home and would love to keep her and ensure she gets all the proper medications needed to restore full health.

Vet visit $195

Deworming meds $23

Food and immediate needs care $150 (food, flea bath, collar, leash, etc.)

Heartworms - initial treatment is approximately $1000 - she could need additional treatment(s) if the first round isn't effective

Spay cost about $100 based on a well-known local clinic

We appreciate Ryan yet do not want to burden his giving heart with debt just to get Bailey well. Therefore, I am asking for some help to cover costs to prevent that financial burden.
