Hi everyone! My name is Bailey Millimaki and I am a student actor filmmaker currently finishing up my BFA in Acting at Viterbo University. This year I have tasked myself with creating a project that is completely created from my own mind and represents the type of artist that I want to be as I enter the industry. I started writing a film last May titled "1000 Words" which tells the story of Amanda, an early 20s college student, and her journey through grief after losing her friend Stacie to addiction. Not only is this issue close to my heart but it also addresses the issue of addiction through a unique lens that I find isn't often represented in TV and Film. My goal, as a storyteller, is to shed light on impactful and important stories that beg to be told. This is my first attempt at achieving that goal.

I plan on submitting this film to film festivals across the country in order to showcase who I am and who I want to be as I enter the industry. Your contributions will also help to cover the costs of the entry fees to these festivals.

Here is where I need your help. From equipment, to location, to forming a team, and putting together all of the other aspects of production that make a film great, it can get expensive. The story is written, and just needs the funds that will help pry it from the pages and onto your screens.

I have a goal to raise $4,000 but am also actively pursuing other financial resources such as local artist grants.
