Support Bailey's Artistic Journey

Hello Patrons of the arts!

I am seeking your support in my latest creative project. In early December, I will produce a three night, evening-length show at Triskelion Arts in Brooklyn titled 'The Fifth Terrace'.

‘The Fifth Terrace’ marks my first creation of a work on this scale, with music composed in collaboration with DJ Farr. An interdisciplinary work incorporating expressive movement, experimental music, stage acting and a gallery of visual art. A dialog that traverses through five seasons of my relationship to death that involves the inherent disorientation within understanding the grief process. An artistic journey that asks: Where does the essence of one go upon exiting the incisions of grief?

The first phase of this project is to produce 'The Fifth Terrace' as a one woman show in NYC. Expenses include: theater rental (for both rehearsal and performance space), required liability insurance, technicians (lighting and audio), sound engineering, performance documentation (photographer, videographer, and editor), costumes, paint, materials, publicity, marketing, receptions, and my ongoing training, as I prepare for these physically demanding solo performances.

These initial three shows in Brooklyn will give me the ability to more firmly establish my presence as an independent artist, while providing desirable documentation to get my show picked up for future performances and tours.

The next phase will involve taking the performance on tour through 2026. I will connect with my network across various arts communities in San Francisco, Chicago, Houston, New Orleans, France, Germany, Japan, South East Asia, etc.

With all of this, I made the choice to reach out to my community for support to maintain an untampered relationship to my art. As an autonomous creative it is important to me to keep the integrity of my work intact and free from the persuasive, pervasive and domineering hands of large company/organization benefactors. Instead, individual patronage allows me to maintain the creative control to keep my art intact and free from outside influence. Additionally, your individual patronage provides you the opportunity to directly support an artist and their work, free from the bureaucratic structures of organizations that have taken advantage of creatives and their work for too long.
