Hello my Name is Bailey a 21 year old fighting lymphoma. On June 6, I went for a checkup at my doctor’s appointment. I noticed a lump on my chest area and that’s why I went in and talked with my doctor. I had gotten blood drawn and A CT scan done that day. June 9,2025 I get told to go to my local emergency room hospital. I go to OSF in Dixon IL. I get sent to OSF in Rockford Illinois that same day at 6pm in an ambulance. I got told from OSF in Dixon that I needed a biopsy done on the lump area. I always got told it might be cancer but nobody was sure.
June 9,2025 at 7:30 I make it to OSF Saint Anthony’s hospital.
June 10, doctor comes in and says I’m sorry but there is fluid in your right lung. I had no clue at all. My face was swollen. Later that day around 4pm I get an Thoracentesis done. I had to go through a hard time breathing and just coughing. After that producer is done I get told I had 2 litters of fluid build up that the doctor had removed.
JUNE 10,2025- I go in for a biopsy on the mass and wait for the fluid from my lungs to come back negative for cancer. 2 days go by I get the results back from the fluid it is negative. I spend a whole week in the hospital drinking water and not eating. June 14,2025 I get out of the hospital. The next afternoon I’m around my family and that’s when the doctor calls and says the mass is CANCER… I just cried and cried..
JUNE 18th 2025, I get sent to CLINTON IA to get the Port procedure done. I go through the procedure. After the procedure is over I get told in the recovery room the doctor couldn’t do it because it was too risky and I could’ve died.
They tried this two different ways nothing worked.
July 14,2025 I get sent to Iowa city to get the port procedure done. Everything went smooth and great but the only way they could put the port through was going through my grown area and guiding it up to my heart. I had to get a stunt put in to help with the blood flow. Before they did the procedure the doctor did tell me I had blood clots. I had to take medicine and still take medicine for the blood clots. I finally started chemo and have done four rounds of chemo so far. I go every day back-and-forth between Sterling and Clinton Iowa for blood drawn and chemo therapy. Things have been great so far!
I would appreciate if you could help out I might go fund me. Everything goes towards hospital bills, gas for transportation, medicine expenses.
