Meet Bagheera — my emotional support cat, my shadow, and the little heartbeat that has helped me through some of my hardest days. Today, he’s the one who needs a lifeline.
Bagheera suddenly became very sick and is in visible pain. He’s straining and crying when trying to use the bathroom, which points to a possible UTI or urinary blockage — something that can become life-threatening very quickly in male cats. He’s barely moving, looks exhausted, and it’s heartbreaking to see him suffering.
Just last week, our dog Max needed urgent veterinary care, and although we’re grateful he’s okay, it completely drained our emergency pet fund. We’ve called multiple vets and urgent care clinics, but none offer payment plans, and we simply don’t have the funds to get Bagheera seen fast enough.
Bagheera is not “just a cat” — he is my emotional support animal who helps me manage severe anxiety. He curls up with me when I feel alone. He has been there for me in ways I can’t put into words — and now I’m terrified of losing him.
Estimated Vet Costs:
Exam & diagnostics: $80–$200
Treatment/meds/fluids: $200–$800
If urinary blockage: $1,200–$2,500+
I will share full transparency, receipts, and updates on Bagheera’s condition and care as we go.
If you are able to donate — even $1 — it truly helps. If you can’t donate, please share this GoFundMe so others may see it. Your kindness could be the reason Bagheera gets the care he needs to survive.
Urgent Update on Bagheera ❤️
We just heard from Dr. Quinn at Burtchville Veterinary Clinic in Fort Gratiot, and the news is heavier than we hoped.
Bagheera wasn’t dealing with a normal blockage — he has a serious issue in his urinary area that has made it almost impossible for him to pee. Dr. Quinn tried everything she could, but the usual procedure couldn’t relieve him. She was able to drain a large amount of bloody urine to help him for now… but without surgery, this will keep happening and could cost him his life.
He now needs urgent surgery so he can finally pee safely and live without constant pain. The estimate for the procedure starts at $1,200.
Bagheera fought through the night to stay alive. He’s still fighting. He just needs this chance.
If you can donate even $5, it will help us get him the surgery that will save his life. If you can’t donate, please share — sharing truly helps more than you know.
** Any unused funds that are raised for Bagheera will be paid forward to other animals in need **
Thank you to everyone who has helped us get this far. We’re so grateful, and we’re not giving up on him.
Thank you for reading, sharing, donating, or even just keeping Bagheera in your thoughts.
