My name is Kamel, and I’m sharing this during one of the most difficult moments our family has ever faced.

With heavy hearts, we share that Badr has passed away after a painful battle with Stage IV metastatic lung adenocarcinoma.

When we first created this fundraiser, we were asking for help with his urgent medical care, medications, and caregiving needs. Sadly, his condition progressed very quickly, and despite the care and support around him, he has now returned to his Creator.

Our family’s immediate need has now changed. We are working to repatriate Badr’s body to Algeria so he can be laid to rest in his homeland with dignity.

Funds raised will help cover:

* Funeral home services and preparation

* Required documentation and consular paperwork

* Transfer authorization and related permits

* Air transport / cargo transfer to Algeria

* Burial and local arrangements overseas

* Immediate family expenses connected to this process

This has been emotionally devastating and financially overwhelming for our family. We are doing everything we can to honor Badr properly, but the cost of repatriation and burial is significant.
