Help support baby Winifred, who, at two weeks, needs open-heart surgery.

On August 2, 2025, the Morris family welcomed their baby girl, Winifred Honey Grace Morris, into the world. Weighing over 11 pounds, she appeared to be a happy, healthy baby and was discharged with a perfect bill of health. During her first few days at home, Winifred enjoyed small adventures and plenty of hugs and kisses from her four adoring siblings: Henrietta, Nori, Ryder, and Louie.

In the early morning hours of Friday, August 8, Winifred began showing distressing signs, and her mother, Katie, decided to rush her to the emergency room. Upon admission, doctors determined that Winifred was experiencing severe heart failure. Several of her organs were in critical condition, and an early heart echo revealed concerning findings. It was decided that Winifred needed to be transferred to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles for specialized care.

After a week of monitoring, supporting her major organs, and running a series of heart scans and tests, doctors confirmed that Winifred will need open-heart surgery to repair an Interrupted Aortic Arch, along with additional repairs to several holes in the chambers of her heart. Her surgery is currently scheduled for Monday, August 18. After ten long days of stabilizing her health and gathering the full picture of her condition, Winifred is finally strong enough for this operation — the first step in what will be a long road to recovery.

Our ask is simple: we are seeking support to help care for Winifred’s four siblings while their parents, Tom and Katie, remain at her bedside in the hospital. Recovery is expected to take 3–6 weeks, and we hope to ease the burden of child care, meals, groceries, and the many small expenses that arise during this difficult time.

Any donation, no matter the size, is deeply appreciated. Most of all, we welcome your prayers, well wishes, and positive thoughts for Winifred and the entire Morris family.
