7/18 update Baby Waylon is 3 months old and is as precious as ever! He was admitted to Duke last night for more extensive testing. Poor fella has had such a rough time lately. Mom and dad a by his side still. Sylvans surgery was Wednesday from the accident where he was hit on his motorcycle on 7/4. He has 7 broken bones but came out very lucky. He will be out of work for at least 10 weeks while healing. These 3 have had a bit of a tough time lately.
Any support, groceries (they now have a mini fridge) meals, or prayers and sharing is appreciated
7/4 update- Only July 4th Waylons dad was involved in a motorcycle accident. The at fault vehicle was not legal, hit him and another vehicle (he was on his motorcycle), totaled the motorcycle, and left him with some injuries. He is relatively ok compared to what could have been but he will be out of work for a bit and they've lost their extra vehicle.
From losing their home in the hurricane to having a baby with health issues and now this accident they've certainly had a rough beginning to life together but have been blessed with wonderful family and friends go rally around them and support them along the way. We are grateful for all who have helped them.
Update as of 6/27- Baby Waylon is having a feeding tube placed this morning. This is not what anyone wanted but he has been unable to take his medicine or eat so it is what is best as he needs to get nourishment for his little body. Aunt Lily and Mimi spent some time with him yesterday and we know he and his mama enjoyed the company. Sylvan is still working during the day and driving back and forth at night. This is a costly stay for them that they weren't prepared for. Everything helps and our family is so grateful for prayers and support
Our sweet grandbaby Waylon has been admitted to the Children's hospital for testing and monitoring after health concerns throughout his little 2months of life. He's been to many doctors and had a lot of tests already but today they've decided he needed further help. It's been a long emotional process already that of course hasn't been cheap or easy but we know now with an unknown length of time in the hospital they will be facing an extra burden. Sylvan will continue working by day while Abbie stays with Baby Waylon in the hospital but there will be travel expenses back and forth for dad to visit, food costs for mommy (don't forget she's feeding baby too), and any other needs during this time.
Of course most of all prayers are appreciated but any financial help to get them through or gift cards for gas or food would be a wonderful blessing. ( The hospital has Chick-fil-A, Subway, and Starbucks as well as their cafeteria. In the area is Wendy's, Burger King, and Publix).
