On behalf of Ashley & Jimmy Sharping along with their family, I’m creating this GoFundMe for their 1-month-old son, Theo. What originally was suspected as an upper respiratory virus (3/29/2026) and the need for a life flight to Sioux Falls for medical treatment. Upon arrival and more testing, Sioux Falls discovered that little Theo had a heart murmur along with a hole in his heart as well as coarctation of the aorta. It was determined on (4/2/2026) that little Theo would be life-flighted to University of Iowa Health Care Stead Family Children's Hospital (8 hours away from home) where the plan is to do heart surgery on the aorta to open up the narrowing artery to give Theo more blood flow to his body. Ashley & Jimmy drove to Iowa City that night. Not only has all of this come as a surprise to Ashley & Jimmy, but it has also disrupted their normal family routine. Theo’s big brother, Sonny, is staying in South Dakota with family.

Down the road, Theo will need another surgery to fix the hole in his heart.

On behalf of the family, we are asking for funding for lodging, traveling, food, medical care, multiple life flights, and monthly living expenses to ease the burden and stress on the family in the coming days and weeks as they focus on the care of their sweet son.
