Support Baby Teddy and the Kelley Family

Donation protected
I’m reaching out to share that the Kelley family is currently in the hospital with Baby Teddy, trying to figure out why he continues to go unresponsive upwards of 8/10 times a day.
As the family continues to navigate through what is going on with Teddy, the expenses for travel/specialized care are growing. We are asking our community, one that Marcus and Serrah have been a part of, supported, and loved their entire lives, to consider a donation to help relieve some of their financial burden during such an emotional and difficult time. Your support would mean the world to them and it would help to alleviate at least one of their worries during this time.
Back story:
After being admitted on November 19,2025 for a high risk, complicated pregnancy, Serrah had Baby Teddy 8 weeks early. Teddy was born on December 19,2025. He spent 45 days in the NICU in Montgomery with his mother driving back and forth daily to be with him while still taking care of their older children at home. In that time Serrah was readmitted to the hospital for a secondary infection after delivery. On February 1 Teddy was discharged home and the family thought that they could finally be home and be a family after over two months of back and forth between their home and the hospital over an hour away. Teddy was only home for two days when he became unresponsive and his parents had to call 911. Teddy was sent to Birmingham and spent a week at Children’s of Alabama in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. At this time Marcus was driving back and forth while Serrah stayed with Teddy at the hospital. Teddy was released from the PICU on February 10th with the goal of being able to manage his “episodes” of dropping his heart rate and oxygen, at home. The next day while at the pediatrician’s office Teddy had an episode and his parents were instructed to take him to the ER. On the way to the ER Teddy again became unresponsive and Marcus had to do CPR on the side of the road while Serrah called 911. Since that day Teddy has been in the RNICU and CCN at UAB, still waiting for answers and a “cure” for these episodes. During this time his mother is driving back and forth to Birmingham. Since November 19 Marcus has not been able to work much due to Serrah, and now Teddy, being in the hospital. This family has 7 other children to be there for as well.

The Kelley family is fighting a battle that no family should have to face—when they should have been bonding with their new baby boy, they have had to navigate through 3 hospitals that are an hour or more away. Let’s come together and show them that we stand by them through such a tough time.

Marcus calls Teddy “Superman” because he has been through so much in his two short months of life and he still continues to fight daily for a diagnosis and a cure. Would you consider being a hero for Teddy? Even just a small donation can make a difference for this family who has been hit hard in the past 3 months.
