Sprout Needs Our Help — and So Does Mama Mandie

If you know Bean and Sprout, you know their mom, Mandie Breamer — “Mama Mandie” — has spent nearly a decade helping countless rescue pugs through her fundraising drives and community page. Sharing love from her, Mama Agnes, Simba Bean & Baby Sprout. Now, for the first time, she’s the one who needs our help. Some of you have already reached out and covered some initial bills, and we are most grateful for your generosity, and now is the time to expand accordingly!

Mandie’s beloved pug Baby Sprout, just 11 years old, has been fighting for her life for over a month. After multiple vet visits, Baby Sprout was diagnosed with a serious condition called Protein-Losing Enteropathy (PLE) — a rare illness that causes her body to lose vital nutrients and strength.

Despite hospitalization and intensive home care, Baby Sprout grew weaker and had to be rushed back to the hospital. She’s now in the ICU at a specialized facility, in an oxygen tent, receiving plasma treatments, IV fluids, and nutrition through a feeding tube. Her little heart is working overtime, but she’s fighting with everything she has. *as of 04Nov, Baby Sprout has crossed the rainbow bridge*

For years, Mandie has poured her heart into raising funds for other pugs in need — donating proceeds from her holiday card and magnet drives to rescue organizations. She’s lifted up so many.

Now it’s our turn to lift her

The cost of Baby Sprout’s increased critical care has already reached into the thousands more and continues to climb daily. Our goal is $10,000 to help cover her treatment & hospitalization… with followup appointments likely to add $5,000 more for ongoing recovery.

04Nov25: We have updated the goal to match Angel Baby Sprout’s care & final arrangements ($15,942.95). Lets take this burden for Mama Mandie, her heart is heavy enough
