On June 14th, our dear friends Erin and Cesar welcomed their first child, Baby Sofia, far earlier than expected—at just 24 weeks. Born weighing only 1 pound 10 ounces, this tiny warrior is now fighting in the NICU, where she’ll likely remain for several months.

What should have been a joyful beginning has become an overwhelming journey of uncertainty, fear, and strength. Erin and Cesar are navigating the emotional and financial challenges that come with a long-term NICU stay—daily hospital visits, unexpected medical costs, time away from work, and the basic needs that come with becoming a new parent.
