Hi, my name is Caitlin and I am a mom of four. We have two four year old girls, a 2 year old son, and a newborn son.

Our newborn, Scott, was born on 4/23/2026 at 24 weeks and 3 days. My water broke at 23 weeks due to partial placenta accreta and I was transferred to a specialty hospital an hour away from our home. We made it one week in the hospital when the other end of the placenta started to detach and they rushed me to the operating room for a c-section with hysterectomy.

Our baby will be in the NICU there for months. He is currently having severe difficulties with his lungs which are presenting much younger than his gestastional age. He is on a ventilator and many other machines. The latest of many issues is that he has a hole in his lung which required a chest tube be placed.

We do not yet know what the financial toll will be due to medical bills but the costs are already piling up due to gas costs to drive to the hospital, additional childcare for our other kids, missed work, and eating fast foods in the hospital.

I hate asking for help like this but the lack of funds is starting to affect my kids so I just have to swallow my pride.

We are asking for help to cover medical costs as well as the additional expenses associated with the endless hospital visits. We so appreciate any donation big or small and we want to thank you in advance for helping our family during these incredibly difficult times.
