On March 30th, 2024, Kimberly was admitted to the hospital after being diagnosed with severe preeclampsia, and during this time she was informed that she would not be discharged from the hospital until her baby boy was born.

Due to the risks for both mommy and baby, sweet baby Jackson Schauer was born a little past midnight on the morning of 4/4/2024. Being that his expected due date wasn’t until July 16th, this makes baby Jackson a micro preemie - born at 25 weeks gestation, weighing 1 lb and 7 oz at birth.

At this time, it is unsure how long mommy will have to be admitted, as she is still having issues with her blood pressure postpartum as well. However, we know that baby Jackson has a long NICU journey ahead of him.

Zach and Kimberly are both first time parents, who are not only worried about the health of their tiny miracle baby, but also stressing over the financial hardships that will come along with this journey. Both mom and dad are facing major unexpected health bills that will continue for months, zero baby or postpartum supplies, no nursery set up yet, and both are missing work right now.

Any donation you'd like to make will help them so much during this scary and unexpected event. Funds will be used to help this family pay for monthly bills, baby/postpartum supplies, etc. for the upcoming months.

I wanted to create this go fund me to offer Kimberly as much support as possible, as she has had a scary pregnancy journey as a first time mommy, I’m hoping to put her financial burdens at ease so she can solely focus on her baby boy. All proceeds will go to her and Zach to support them throughout baby Jackson’s NICU journey.
