Hi everyone, I’m Brooke. On October 23rd, 2025, we welcomed our last baby, Sawyer. Everything was going fine until it didn’t. When Sawyer was born, he almost immediately went into respiratory distress. He swallowed lots of amniotic fluid, which did not help on top of it all. About an hour after birth, they had to immediately take him to the nursery, then that night took him to Cardinal Glennon, all while I was still in labor and delivery. He’s been in the NICU since and is making many improvements and is hopefully going to be able to go home soon.

In the meantime, my fiancé’s grandma passed away all while our son has been in the NICU. It’s just been an incredibly hard time mentally, physically, and financially. Aaron has had to use sick and vacation pay so that he can stay home with our daughter while I’m in the nicu with our son. Donating will help cover any medical expenses we have from Sawyer, including any therapy we will have for him when he’s out, bills as I am on maternity leave but sadly don’t get any compensation, breastfeeding supplies, and the gas it’s been taking to drive back and forth to the hospital.
