Support Baby Ryker

As some of you may know, my sister and her husband brought a beautiful baby boy into the world last month. Unfortunately earlier this week their worst fears became reality when they were told baby Ryker was born with a congenital heart defect. Ryker has a ventricular septal defect (VSD) and aortic stenosis, which he will need to have surgically repaired. Due to high rates of patients at Mott Children's Hospital at the University of Michigan, he will not be able to have surgery for 3-4 weeks.  As many of you can understand, this is a very stressful time for Jessica and Ben. Ryker is at risk for many complications, and as his surgery is delayed he is also at risk for heart failure. My sister would never ask anyone for help, so this is why I am starting a fund for her. My goal is to raise enough money so she can purchase an Owlet Baby Monitor, to help cover the cost of travel to and from Ann Arbor and to cover medical expenses not covered by insurance. The Owlet is a device that continuously monitors baby's heart rate and oxygen saturation, which will alarm if abnormalities arise. This device will give my sister and husband ease and comfort knowing that Baby Ryker is being closely connected monitored continuously. Unfortunately, with this technology comes a high price tag and financially they cannot afford it.  Thank you all for your love, support and prayers.  If you find it in your hearts to donate, I know they would greatly appreciate it.
