We are reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for your support for the Paiva family. On April 13th, 2025, their sweet 1-year-old son, Russell, was diagnosed with AML Leukemia. In less than 48 hours, his condition became critical—he was placed on a breathing tube, a feeding tube, and began receiving daily chemotherapy treatments, blood transfusions, and IV medications. Though Russell has become more stable, his journey is far from over. He will undergo a spinal tap soon to get more of an understanding for this first round of treatment. Doctors estimate he will remain in the hospital for at least another seven months.

Megan and Riley, Russell’s parents, are balancing hospital life with caring for their two other young children at home. This means frequent travel between Denver and Colorado Springs, mounting medical expenses, and unexpected costs like food, childcare, and transportation.
