Where to begin...

They thought it was the flu, some sort of bug. This is what the doctor said. They followed instructions; went home, thinking he will get better. After all, this is their first baby. They are learning as they go.

Anyway, he did not improve. In fact, he seemed to be getting worse. It was so clear he was miserable, suffering and it broke all our hearts.

Back to the ER, desperate for help for their precious baby boy. Once seen, he was immediately admitted. Now of course panic set in. The neurosurgeon had him in surgery the following day.

It seems baby Oliver was building fluids in his brain. He was born beautiful, hair and lips thick as can be. However, there was too much space between his brain and the skeletal tissue, causing fluids to build up.

The surgeon put in a shunt to prevent build up, get things moving as they should. They are so grateful, no words can express how much.

All hearts are so happy to know Oliver will be going home soon, that he is going to be ok.

However…

This little family needs your help, desperately. You see, they have been living on veteran’s disability. The father starts his new career at the end of this month. Hence, no medical insurance to cover the outrageous medical costs.

They don’t want to do this, but are in desperate need. Their new family is just starting out and next week they will be celebrating their one year wedding anniversary.
