Hello everyone. I’m here to ask for help for my 6-month-old cousin, Nathalia, who is getting surgery today for a subdural hematoma. A subdural hematoma is a collection of blood that forms between the brain and the skull. It's a serious condition that can be life-threatening and requires immediate medical care. She is getting a drainage of the subdural hematoma, which is a surgical procedure that involves drilling a hole in the skull to drain accumulated blood.

The money will be used to pay her medical costs. She currently lives in Guatemala with her dad, who is my uncle, and her mom. Guatemala is one of the countries where if you do not pay the hospital bill when discharged, they do not discharge you, and the bill keeps going up. In most other countries, they’re not as privileged as we are, which makes it very difficult for these families to get the medical attention they need. This is why I am trying to help them raise this money. Any little bit helps. Also, sharing this post would be greatly appreciated.

Hola a todos. Estoy aquí para pedir ayuda para mi primita Nathalia de 6 meses de edad, quien hoy será operada de un hematoma subdural. Un hematoma subdural es una acumulación de sangre que se forma entre el cerebro y el cráneo. Es una afección grave que puede poner en peligro la vida y requiere atención médica inmediata. Le están haciendo un drenaje del hematoma subdural, que es un procedimiento quirúrgico que consiste en perforar un agujero en el cráneo para drenar la sangre acumulada.

El dinero se usara para los gastos medicos. Actualmente vive en Guatemala con su papá, que es mi tío, y su mamá. Guatemala es uno de los países donde si no pagas la factura del hospital cuando te dan el alta, no te dan el alta y la factura sigue subiendo. En la mayoría de los demás países no son tan privilegiados como nosotros, lo que hace que a estas familias les resulte muy difícil obtener la atención médica que necesitan.
