Before anything else, we ask for your prayers and support for the Kha Family. Please lift them up in prayer—for strength, for peace, for healing, and for wisdom for the medical team caring for their sweet baby girl. Your prayers mean more than anything right now.
For those who feel led to give, we’ve created a GoFundMe to help ease the financial burden of medical bills, travel, time off work, and other unexpected costs that come with caring for a child in the hospital. Every little bit helps—but again, your thoughts and prayers are the greatest gift you can offer.
Mila Paige Kha born 7/11/25 8lbs 3oz, 21.5 inches via C section. She was diagnosed with 2 congenital heart defects during Taylor’s 20 week ultrasound. Mila has a coarctation of her aorta and a large ventricular septal defect (hole in the heart). After Mila arrived, the doctors did a full echocardiogram and revealed she also has a fused tricuspid valve. The coarctation and VSD will need to be addressed sooner than later while the fused valve will be monitored throughout her life. The coarctation has narrowed her aorta meaning that blood will have a difficult time traveling down to her low extremities, so without intervention, Mila’s heart would not be able to pump correctly. The VSD will be a separate surgery anywhere between 3-6 months from now. The plan is to undergo surgery later next week to repair the aorta (widen the pipe) with recovery being anywhere from 3 weeks to 2 months. She is holding on strong and being well taken care of at Doerbecher’s NICU. We would love prayers for our little girl.
