My beautiful nephew and godson Merlin has had a very difficult first few weeks of life. His very traumatic birth via unplanned C-section caused him to suffer a skull fracture and bleeding in and around his brain. The day after delivery, he was rushed to emergency neurosurgery to remove part of his skull in order to save him from the extreme swelling and bleeding in his brain. After four brain surgeries and six weeks in the NICU, Merlin is finally home with his family! Although he is now growing, sleeping, and eating like a champ, the road to recovery is going to be long and filled with appointments, therapy, and surgical revisions. Medical bills are already adding up, but it is still a little early to know exactly what they need at this point. However, several people have asked how they can help Merlin’s cause, so I wanted to give friends and family a space to offer their support!
