Support Baby Meredith's Recovery

Hey Everyone!

I (Haley Jones) and Lacey Ghrigsby have set up this fundraiser for our beautiful friend Taylor “Love” Perry, for her 1yr old daughter Meredith to help her with medical expenses, travel, and food. Both of Meredith’s parent, Love and Nate, are first responder EMT’s.

On Thursday June 6th Love was at home cooking dinner with her 1yr old, Meredith. Baby Meredith accidentally pulled off a bowl of un-drained corn that had just been pulled off the stove and into a bowl. Meredith has severe 2nd and 3rd degree burns totaling 22% of her body including her head, face, chest, and both arms. Meredith was flown by AirEvac from Falkville to UAB Burn Unit. She has been having daily wound cleanings and changing. Yesterday, June 11th, Meredith had surgery for a surgical scrub to clean her burns, as well as a g-tube placement for feedings and nutrients. Meredith has a long recovery ahead of her with an extended stay in the burn unit, as well as future wound care and rehab.

Love, Nate, and their families are having to drive back and forth from North Alabama to UAB daily to stay with Meredith. As you can imagine the medical expenses as well as other living expenses are adding up since they are having to miss work to be with Meredith. Please help us in helping this amazing baby girl and her family. ALL FUNDS will go to Meredith’s parents. She has a long family history of paramedics, AEMTs, and EMTs who have dedicated their lives to helping our community and save lives. Let’s come together and take some of the stress and financial burden off of them so they can focus on being with Meredith and helping her heal.
