Support for Baby Lucas and the Blasingame Family

On February 8th, while celebrating Lilah Blasingame’s 3rd birthday at Lake Orion Church, my sister, Carley Blasingame, unexpectedly went into labor. At just 23 weeks, Lucas Isaiah Scott Blasingame was brought into the world via emergency C-section. He is currently in the NICU at Trinity Hospital in Pontiac, where he is receiving critical care.

Lucas has a long and challenging journey ahead, but we are trusting in his strength and the incredible care of his medical team. He is already showing us what a fighter he is. We believe he is a miracle child, and that God will sustain his life while he grows into an incredible young man.

Over the next several months, Carley and her husband, Drew Blasingame, will be traveling back and forth to the NICU while also taking time off of work to be by Lucas’s side. To help ease the financial burden of medical expenses, travel costs, lost income, and any other needed items during this time, we are asking for support from their amazing community.

We understand that not everyone is able to financially help them. Consistent and powerful prayers for stable growth, protection from illness and infection, and for the emotional endurance of Carley and Drew are of the upmost importance. We believe that in the mighty name of Jesus, Lucas will be sustained and protected! We ask for prayers for a covering of peace on their family that no darkness will be able to penetrate.

In addition to financial contributions and powerful prayers, we are also seeking breast milk donations for Lucas, as Carley’s supply is currently limited. If you are able to donate or know someone who can, please reach out.

Jeremiah 29:11 says “For I know the plans I have for you” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future.”
