Support Baby Lucas's Fight for Life

Born 05/09/2025, Lucas Edward Wayne Gullett. Keep him in your prayers. He has had a rough start. He was diagnosed with Gestational Alloimmune Liver Disease with Neonatal Chromatosis. His liver doesn't work as intended. His blood looks like a lava lamp that hasn't warmed up. His liver, kidneys, and thyroid are all damaged and associated with the disease. He has had over 20 transfusions, one being a double exchange transfusion, and 3 surgeries. We were hopeful it would have improved his condition. We were informed today that he needs to be transferred to a hospital that specializes in liver transplants. His liver levels are at a level that he needs to be placed on a transplant list. Kosairs said they cannot make that decision and have reached out to Cincinnati to transport him there. We are incredibly heartbroken and lost. He's been in the NICU since day one and we've slept at the hospital every night since his birth.
