Dear Friends and Family,

I’m reaching out as baby LouElla’s Auntie to ask for your support during an incredibly challenging time for my family. LouElla is my beautiful baby niece, born on September 23rd, 2024. She has been diagnosed with Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD) and is scheduled for open-heart surgery in early February at UCSF Children’s Hospital in San Francisco.

This diagnosis came as a shock to all of us, as it was only confirmed a couple of weeks ago. My brother and sister-in-law will need to drive to San Francisco and stay for at least a week during LouElla’s surgery and recovery.

While they would never ask for help themselves, I know this unexpected journey comes with significant financial stress. They will need assistance covering the costs of food, gas, hotel stays, and other unforeseen expenses while focusing on LouElla’s recovery.

We all know money can’t take away the anxiety and worry that comes with a situation like this, but it can help ease the burden so they can concentrate on being there for LouElla during her surgery and recovery.
