Hi, my name is Elizabeth Knight, and I am a coworker of Kaylee Parker. I am helping raise funds for Kaylee, her husband Cole, and their precious daughter, Landry.
At just 4 months old, Landry began experiencing seizures and was hospitalized for over a week. After extensive testing, Landry was diagnosed with lissencephaly (which means smooth brain), it is a rare brain disorder that affects brain development, and tracheomalacia, a condition that causes weakness in the airway.
Because of these conditions, Landry also struggles with aspiration, meaning a significant amount of what she eats enters her airway instead of her stomach. This creates ongoing and serious risks to her health and requires constant monitoring and care.
One of the greatest challenges this family faces is the overwhelming cost of Landry’s medical care. The medication she needs costs $450,000 and is not covered by insurance. While Cole and Kaylee have qualified for some assistance, it does not cover everything Landry will need now or in the future.
In addition to medication, Landry will require:
- Physical therapy
- Occupational therapy
- Speech therapy
Her long-term needs will depend on how she develops and what additional seizures or complications may arise. Genetic testing has been sent off in hopes of providing more answers and guidance for her care.
Cole is a stay-at-home dad, fully devoted to caring for Landry each day, while Kaylee works as a veterinary technician. Kaylee is also a former United States Marine (once a Marine, always a Marine), having faithfully served her country. This family has faced every challenge with strength, resilience, and unwavering faith, trusting God as they walk an uncertain and difficult road.
Landry is their only child, and her parents are doing everything in their power to give her the best life possible—leaning on their faith, their love for one another, and the support of those around them.
We are raising $80,000 to help cover medical expenses, therapies, and ongoing care so Cole and Kaylee can focus on what matters most: loving and caring for Landry.
If you feel led to give, any donation—no matter the amount—is deeply appreciated. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser and keeping Landry and her family in your prayers.
Thank you for your generosity, compassion, and support during this incredibly difficult time.
