Support for Baby Kobie and the Atchison Family
On July 16th, the Atchisons welcomed their beautiful baby girl, Kobie, into the world. What should have been one of the happiest moments of their lives quickly turned into every parent’s worst nightmare.
Shortly after birth, Kobie was diagnosed with two serious medical conditions: Anorectal Malformation (ARM) and Hypoplastic Aortic Arch with Coarctation. Within 24 hours, she was transferred to four different hospitals, ultimately arriving at OU Children’s Hospital in Oklahoma City, where she is now receiving specialized care.
Because of her size, Kobie’s heart surgery must be delayed until she grows stronger—meaning the Atchisons are facing an extended stay in OKC, far from home, during an already overwhelming time.
To make matters more difficult, Kellie has been unable to work for several months after her position was dissolved just 10 days after informing her employer of her pregnancy. Since March, the family has relied on a single income, and now Chris will need to take time off work to travel back and forth to be with Kellie and Kobie.
As their community, we’re coming together to ask for your prayers, and if you’re able, your financial support. Your donations will help cover medical bills, travel costs, lodging, food, and other living expenses as they navigate this incredibly difficult journey.
Please help us surround the Atchison family with love, encouragement, and the support they need to stay strong for their baby girl.
With heartfelt thanks,
Friends and Family of the Atchisons
