Dear friends,
We all know that pregnancy can be a rollercoaster full of unexpected and unforeseen twists and turns. At 19 weeks & 5 days along, Casey’s water broke resulting in a couple days hospital stay, tests, and antibiotics to prevent infection. By the grace of God, Baby Key decided that he was going to stay in Momma’s belly and has maintained a steady, healthy heartbeat and is still putting on some ounces despite his lack of fluid - proving to us that he is a FIGHTER!! On Friday, April 9th (23 weeks pregnant), Casey was re-admitted back into the hospital for the duration of her pregnancy so that Baby Key can be closely monitored. Casey remains on strict bedrest orders. The hospital is administering antenatal steroid therapy and magnesium to help in speeding up Baby Key’s development. It is our prayer that Baby Key will take his sweet time, continuing to grow and develop into the strongest baby possible before making his big debut. This means that Casey and the baby are facing an extended hospital/NICU stay and will be accruing an uncertain amount of medical expenses along the way leading up to and after Baby Key’s birth.
It is our hope as close friends of the family that Casey and Justin be able to use this time to focus on Baby Key’s healthy development and not have to stress about finances, and we believe that with your help, we can give them the gift of support and peace in this specific area along with our continued prayers.
The next few months are not going to be easy and are going to come with many ups and downs along the way, but we know that God has his hands over Casey, Justin, & Baby Boy Key and that HE is in complete control.
I know many of you would like to reach out by text or call Casey and Justin, however their main focus needs to be on Baby Key. They will do their best to keep you updated on their journey through social media.
On behalf of Casey, Justin, Baby Key, and their closest friends and family, we would like to thank everyone for the outpouring of love, prayers and support shown over the past few weeks and undoubtedly in the months to come.
