On 12 November 2025, I heard a little dog crying for his life. That little dog was none other than my Baby Jay.
I saw Jay in the mouth of a coyote. I screamed, the coyote dropped Jay and he ran his little tail off to get to safety. My daughter and I rushed him to the Urgent Care of the Desert in Palm Desert. Jay's left shoulder is broke in several areas but the worst of his wounds are on his right side. Between the open wounds, the massive infection and the tissue dying, Jay has had to go in at least once sometimes two or three times a week for bandage changes and to monitor the skin damage. He has been on 3 different antibiotics and three pain meds and trazadone to help keep him as comfortable as possible. At this point we are at over $13,000 with another surgery to close the wound, more x-rays to see how the shoulder is healing, and more bandage changes and more meds.
Baby Jay is just that, he is my baby and I will do whatever I can to save him. All at the hospital say he should have not be here now but with his and my determination we are beating the odds. But now I am asking for help. I am a proud person and would rather do things on my own and thus far I have, but I have exhausted all means available to me. I am 80 years old and on a fixed income. QThis is where you come in if you are an animal lover such as I am and you can see your way to help Baby Jay and me we will be forever grateful
