We received heartbreaking news that our baby’s heart is underdeveloped on the left side—a condition known as Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. This means he won’t be able to survive outside of the womb without immediate surgery after birth, and he will need at least two more surgeries as a baby. Even after these procedures, he will face lifelong heart complications, and many children with this diagnosis require additional surgeries throughout their lives.
This diagnosis has turned our world upside down- as we are concerned for our son’s wellbeing. We are preparing for a long out of town hospital stay for the first surgery and we will be out of work for an estimated three months while our baby receives the care he needs. The emotional and financial strain is overwhelming, but we are determined to do everything possible for our sweet baby James.
Donations will go directly toward travel, bills, and everyday expenses while we are unable to work and focused on caring for James. We are deeply grateful for any amount of support. We know times are tough for everyone, and every little bit truly helps. Small donations ($10,$20,50) really do add up! Thank you for standing with our family during this incredibly difficult journey.
