Support Baby James' Heart Surgery Journey

Donation protected
We are reaching out to you with a heartfelt request to support Brian and Angela Nahas as they navigate this unexpected journey as new parents.

Their beautiful son, James Allen, was born in June of 2024—a sweet little boy exuding light and love, with a heartwarming smile and a gentle disposition. However, Baby James was born with a serious heart defect that required extensive medical care from a team of specialists.

When James was born, he spent more than seven weeks in the hospital, two hours away from their home, receiving critical care while Brian and Angela remained by his side, missing many days of work to support him. We were overjoyed when Baby James could go home and continue growing before his next inevitable surgery, all the while requiring continuing weekly specialized care and regular medical appointments far away from their home.

Balancing their real estate business while managing James' healthcare needs has been challenging. Countless hours were spent at the hospital, traveling to specialist appointments, and ensuring James received the best possible care—all while doing their best to maintain their work commitments. This has led to increased expenses, including medical bills, prescriptions, gas for travel, meals on the go, and other unexpected costs.

On Tuesday, March 18th, James underwent open heart surgery in Boston (almost 1,500 miles away from their home, family and friends), a critical step in his medical journey. While we are grateful that the procedure accomplished the surgeon's goals, his little body went into cardiac arrest, requiring 20 minutes of productive CPR, and had to be put back on the ECMO (heart & lung) machine.

Stunning the doctors, he miraculously came off life support after 24-hours. Little James is still touch and go right now, while his body and organs recover from the surgery and traumatic event afterwards, with another visit to the operating room soon to adjust the blood flow and pressures of the heart Before the cardiac arrest, he was facing a long road ahead, with another surgery planned in the next 9 to 12 months.

His ongoing care and treatment will continue to require frequent doctor visits and specialized medical attention, including travel to Boston, one of only a handful of medical teams that handle cases like his.

Through all of this, Brian and Angela firmly believe that prayer is the most important thing they can ask for. They know that God hears our prayers, and they ask for continued prayers, good thoughts and well wishes for James’ healing, strength, and the wisdom of his medical team. Your love, support, and prayers mean the world to them as they walk this difficult path.

For those who feel led to contribute financially, we have also set up this GoFundMe campaign to help relieve some of the financial pressure on Brian and Angela so they can focus on what truly matters: caring for Baby James and ensuring his health and happiness. Your generous donations will go directly toward covering James Allen’s medical bills, prescriptions, and any additional support the Nahas family may need during this time.

Before he was even born, Angela & Brian traveled to Boston to balloon his aortic valve in utero which the hospital charged $30,000 for out of network/out of state alone. Any amount you can contribute will make a meaningful difference and will be deeply appreciated. If you are unable to give financially, please consider sharing this campaign with your network to help spread the word.

Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and most importantly, your prayers for Baby James and the Nahas family. Together, we can make a difference in their lives.

With gratitude,
Kimberly Lang & Jim Stasi

Note: Your donation, no matter how big or small, will help lift a tremendous weight off Brian and Angela's shoulders. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support. Please reach out to me with any questions you may have.
