Help Support the Mcarron Family & Baby Isaac

At Adventure Medics, we care deeply about our people—on and off shift. Today, we’re coming together to support one of our own and her family during an incredibly difficult season.

Shannon Mcarron is a former Adventure Medics EMT who consistently set the standard for compassion, professionalism, and dedication to others. She and her husband Dave are the parents of three children, two of whom have significant medical needs. Their youngest, Isaac, was diagnosed before birth with severe spina bifida and Chiari II malformation. Despite the challenges, Shannon and Dave chose hope—and that decision brought a joyful, loving little boy into the world.

Since birth, Isaac has undergone numerous major surgeries, including spinal surgery just hours after delivery, VP shunt placement for hydrocephalus (with multiple malfunctions), hernia repair, and most recently a complicated adenotonsillectomy that required a PICU stay. He also lives with lifelong conditions affecting his kidneys, bladder, heart, and breathing, and may face additional surgeries in the coming year.

Isaac’s care is complex and constant. He requires daily catheterization, medications, multiple therapies, and frequent visits to specialists—many of whom are over an hour away. Because of the level of care Isaac needs, Shannon was forced to step away from her EMT career to stay home, making the Mcarrons a one-income household.

Despite applying for all available assistance, the financial strain has been overwhelming. Medical bills, insurance copays, specialty supplies, and travel costs continue to accumulate. The family even took on a $30,000 loan simply to avoid medical bills going to collections. Like many families in similar situations, they are now facing difficult choices between basic necessities such as utilities, food, and ongoing medical care.

We are asking our community to come together to support the Mcarron family. All funds raised will go directly toward medical expenses, supplies, travel for appointments, utilities, and essential living costs, helping provide stability and peace of mind during this challenging time.
