Support Baby Hall and Family Through Cardiac & CDH Journey

Donation protected
Hi everyone,
We come to you today with heavy hearts and unwavering faith, asking for your support — both in prayer and in provision — for a precious family walking through an incredibly difficult season. The Hall family, Momma McKenna, Daddy Davis, Sister Iris, and Brother Elias, are excitedly awaiting their newest family member! Sweet baby Helen Hall has recently been diagnosed with Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH). CDH is a rare and serious condition that will require immediate specialized care and long-term medical support. While this diagnosis is serious, the Halls remain strong in their faith and trust that the Lord will provide.

What is CDH?
CDH is a birth defect where the diaphragm doesn’t fully form, allowing abdominal organs to move into the chest and prevent normal lung development. It affects approximately 1 in 2,500 babies. Treatment often includes intensive care immediately after birth, surgery, and a prolonged hospital stay in the NICU. Nevertheless, many children with CDH grow up to live happy and healthy lives. This is our prayer for baby Hall!
For more information about the hospital and CDH, please visit the hospital page here .

Why We Need Your Help
To give baby Helen the best support, the Halls will be temporarily relocating closer to St. Petersburg, Florida, so they can receive care from the expert team at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, one of the few facilities equipped to handle such complex cases. While we aren’t sure of the exact timeline (or many other things!) we expect to meet Helen sometime in November. This journey comes with enormous emotional and financial burdens.

Here’s how your support will make a difference:

  • Temporary Relocation & Housing: The family will need a safe, allergy-friendly living space for several months. Their older daughter, Iris, has life-threatening food allergies, which adds another layer of complexity in finding a place to stay where she will be safe and healthy.

  • Medical & Travel Expenses: Frequent appointments, hospital stays, and follow-up care will involve travel, time off work, and costs not covered by insurance.

  • Caring for Big Sister & Big Brother: Ensuring the Iris and Elias are safe, supported, and cared for during this time is a top priority.

  • Long-Term Planning: Depending on how things progress, the family may need to temporarily or permanently relocate closer to the hospital for follow-up care and treatments.

How You Can Help Stand With Them in Prayer and Giving
We know that God is our Healer, our Provider, and our ever-present Help in time of trouble (Psalm 46:1). While this road is not easy, this family is trusting God for miracles — and they are not walking alone. Please be part of their support system. Whether through a financial gift, a meal, a note of encouragement, or lifting them up in prayer — your support means more than words can express.

"Bear one another’ s burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ." — Galatians 6:2

Every donation will go directly to help cover housing, travel, medical care, and essential support during this critical time. If you’re unable to give financially, please help by sharing this campaign and keeping them in your prayers. This is a journey no family expects to take — but with your help, the family can focus on what matters most: giving Helen the best chance and staying together as a family.

With gratitude,
The Halls’ Friends
