Hi Everyone! Surprise! I'm baby Gwynna and I decided to make my grand entrance a little bit early. 10 weeks early in fact, so I'm technically a micro-preemie baby. My family was on stage performing their unique blend of Irish and Scottish music and I just decided it was time to make my appearance.
So to make a long story a little bit shorter, after a long ambulance ride, I was born in one of the top NICUs. I'm so very happy to be here!
I was born Monday morning, January 27th, and only weighed 3 pounds 5 ounces. All things considered, I'm doing fantastic. As soon as I can breathe strongly on my own, gain some weight, eat on my own, and maintain my body temperature, then I can go home with my family. I might have to stay in the NICU for 10 weeks.
In the meantime, my parents are traveling between towns, which with traffic can take multiple hours between home and the hospital, or luckily they can stay closer to the hospital. During the day, my mom can hold me for short amounts of time before I have to snuggle back inside my NICU bubble. While visiting me, Mom and Dad still have to oversee homeschooling my brothers through online video. And Mom still works composing harp music and managing her harp students' progress.
It's a crazy busy life, and I made it just a little bit crazier! But I'm so happy to be here and can't wait to meet you all. Anything you could donate to make these first months any easier for me and my family would be greatly appreciated.
Funds raised will go towards:
Me and my Mom's medical expenses
Travel expenses, like gas and food since my family is split between locations
Anything above the goal can help prepare a space for me at home
Any amount is helpful!
