Dearest family & friends,

This fundraiser will support and cover costs for the Latacki family as their baby Gabbie recovers in the Edmonton hospital's ICU.

The Latacki family flew out to Alberta 2 weeks ago to spend time with Allyssa's family and have them meet baby Gabbie. Unfortunately, things took a turn on Wednesday when Allyssa noticed Gabbie was struggling to breathe. She brought her into the Rocky emerg where they discovered she had low oxygen, both her lungs were filled with liquid, and one of them had collapsed. At many points, Gabbie had stopped breathing entirely. She was transported to Edmonton hospital and has been in the ICU. Doctors have had to intubate her and put her on a ventilator.

Patryk was in London at the time and flew back immediately, without fully knowing the extent of the situation, in hopes that he could return with Allyssa and the girls on their original flight home on Saturday Nov 26. Unfortunately, while Gabbie has made great progress, at this time she is still sedated and intubated. Doctors are hopeful she will be removed from those supports soon but remain cautiously optimistic.

With all that said, the situation has required a quick intervention with no expense spared to ensure that both Gabriella & Allyssa have support, as well as Milana & Danielle having Pat there to help keep some stability.

Pat has insisted that there is no need to send support financially, but there has been an overwhelming amount of people reaching out with hopes to support Gabbie and the family in whatever way they can. This fundraiser is in response to those requests. All donations that exceed their needs will be donated to the Ronald McDonald house, which is where the family is staying during the recovery.
