Support Baby Frankie- E.Coli Outbreak

Hello Everyone,

My dear friend Kendra is going through the unimaginable with her sweet baby girl Frankie suffering through the life altering E.Coli outbreak that took over daycares throughout calgary last month. Frankie has been hospitalized for over a week and will be for the coming weeks ahead, with no visitors allowed and Kendra being unable to work.

“This has been the longest week of my life, all due to someones negligence at a day home catering company. I have had to watch my daughter hooked up to endless cords, tubes and IV lines, crying in pain and being poked by needles continuously everyday, it has been absolutely devastating for me as a mom and traumatic for her. She has required surgery, two blood transfusions due to all the blood she is losing and drugs to help manage her pain. Despite all of this, I have to give so many thanks to the staff here at the hospital they go absolutely above and beyond for these children and I know she is in the best care possible. She has shown us some signs in the last few days of wanting little bits of food and markers indicate her kidneys are fighting their damn hardest to beat this HUS. I am optimistic this is our turning point for the better, but she still has a long road to recovery and will remain in the hospital. Unfortunately this will leave my child with a lifetime of follow up appointments to monitor the development of her brain and kidneys as it can have long term affect on these young kids. E.coli is no joke people. Thank you everyone for all your love and support during this time, you'll never understand how much it means to me I wish I could hug every single one of you. Sending so much love back to you all”
