Update ✨ Update on our little warrior princess ✨
On Monday, August 25th, our sweet Elianah will be going in for her first brain surgery, and then just a few days later, on Thursday the 28th, she will face her second surgery. This journey has been a long one — her surgery has been rescheduled several times because she kept getting sick, but now it’s finally right around the corner. We are doing everything we can to keep her healthy and away from germs so she can finally have these surgeries that she desperately needs.
This past Monday, she had her MRI and several tests done in preparation for surgery. She still has a few more clearances from doctors this week before we head into one of the hardest chapters of our lives.
As we get closer, I have to be honest — we are in a huge financial crisis. Between unpaid bills from previous hospital stays, needing gas to go back and forth, and making sure our other children at home are cared for while we are in the hospital for almost three weeks, it has been overwhelming. Her dad will be with us the entire time, and he won’t be getting paid while we’re away. Together, we have seven children to care for — my four and his three — and expenses are piling up quickly.
On top of everything, I also have to pay someone every day to pick up and watch our 6-year-old after school while we’re at the hospital. Between that, food for the kids, gas, and even car troubles, I’m doing everything I can — but we still need help.
If you feel led to give, please know that anything and everything helps — whether it’s $1, a gas card, a grocery card, or support through my GoFundMe, CashApp, or Venmo. Your generosity truly makes a difference and helps us focus on being there for Elianah through these surgeries.
Prayer
Lord, I place my baby girl in Your hands as she prepares for surgery. Please guide the hands of the surgeons, give wisdom to her doctors, and surround her with Your healing power. Watch over our family during this time of trial, and provide the strength and resources we need to get through these weeks ahead. We trust in You and lean on Your promises of hope and healing. Amen.
Help Us Support Baby Elianah Through Life-Saving Brain Surgery. .
Hi everyone,
We’re reaching out with heavy but hopeful hearts to ask for help for our sweet and strong 14-month-old daughter, Elianah.
Elianah was born with an extremely rare genetic disorder that causes her to have over 24 seizures a day—even in her sleep. Her brain never truly rests. While she is mentally alert and so aware, this constant seizure activity causes what doctors describe as electrical shocks to her brain. It keeps her muscles tense, almost locked, and has severely delayed her ability to speak and move freely—such as walking and holding things.
She just started saying “mom” last month, and she’s said it only a few times. She’s said “hey” twice. Every word is a hard-won milestone, and we celebrate each one.
Now, Elianah is facing her biggest challenge yet: two major brain surgeries on June 9th and June 11th. These surgeries offer the chance to reduce her seizures and give her a better quality of life. She’ll need at least three weeks in the hospital afterward to recover.
Elianah is truly a warrior. She’s the sweetest baby—always smiling, hardly ever crying. She brings joy to everyone she meets. She’s already survived so much, including a terrifying ICU stay in December due to RSV and pneumonia. She had to be placed on a breathing machine and It was terrifying that she could not breathe on her own .That happened just weeks after I watched my dad die to the same illness, which made it even more horrifying and heartbreaking.
I’m a full-time stay-at-home mom because Elianah needs round-the-clock care. She takes multiple medications, has breathing issues, and gets sick easily. We avoid taking her out in public to protect her from getting severely ill. Due her to some of her medical conditions.
We also have five other children at home—four teenagers and a five-year-old. We’re still behind on bills from her previous hospital stays, and now we’re preparing for another long one. My husband will be taking four weeks off (unpaid) to be with us during her surgeries and recovery. Elianah is used to having both of us with her for every hospital stay, and her doctors have said our support is essential for her healing process.
Here’s what your donations will help with:
Travel, gas, and food during her 3-week hospital stay
Bills and household expenses while we’re both out of work
Food and care for our kids at home, including delivery if needed
The reason I’m posting this so late is because I was truly hoping I wouldn’t have to. I don’t like putting our business out there, there are so many people who are judgmental and talk about people and gossip. That's why I was hoping I would not have to do this . I try to handle things on my own. But this time, I know we can’t do it alone. We need help.
If you can donate, share, or even send a prayer, we’d be incredibly grateful. Every bit helps us support Elianah through this critical time. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for standing with our family.
With love,
From our family to yours
