At just 10 months old, baby Drew has been diagnosed with retinoblastoma in both eyes, a rare and aggressive childhood cancer. This form of cancer is hereditary, and while doctors are doing everything they can, there is a heartbreaking possibility that Drew may lose vision in both eyes.
Drew is currently undergoing chemotherapy, with frequent treatments nearly 2 hours away in Boston. His mother, Kerry, is a devoted single mom, doing everything in her power to care for him. While she has the love and support of her immediate family, this journey has been incredibly challenging—both emotionally and financially.
Health insurance should cover most of Drew’s medical treatments however there are many unexpected costs that aren’t covered, including gas and travel expenses, hotel stays and meals for long treatment days, lost work, and any other unforeseen expenses that come up while Drew is in treatment. My hope is to ease the financial burden so that Kerry can focus all of her energy into taking care of Drew.
Kerry is carrying an enormous weight on her shoulders. Even if you are not in a position to donate you can help by sharing Drew’s story to spread the word.
Thank you for listening ♥️
