Baby Dax was born on March 20th, and from the very beginning, he has shown incredible strength. Shortly after birth, doctors discovered that Dax has a complex congenital heart condition that will require close monitoring, specialized care, and likely surgery. He is currently in the NICU at Driscoll Children’s Hospital, where a dedicated team is carefully evaluating his heart and planning the best course of treatment. At this time, Dax is stable, but his journey is just beginning. His condition involves multiple areas of the heart, including concerns for narrowing of the aorta, and the medical team is closely watching how his heart adapts over the coming days and weeks before making important decisions. His parents, Marco and Jessica, are staying close by his side, putting their full faith and strength into each day as they walk through this unexpected journey. They are leaning on God, trusting His plan, and taking things one step at a time. As you can imagine, this road comes with emotional, physical, and financial challenges — including time away from work, travel, lodging, and ongoing medical needs during what may be a prolonged hospital stay.
