Support Baby Dawson & Candice

On August 8, Candice was experiencing severe chest pain. Given she was 34 weeks pregnant, she heading to the emergency where they realized she had a torn aorta and required emergency surgery.

Candice was airlifted to Vancouver General Hospital (VGH), where they performed an emergency c-section to bring baby Dawson earth side before doing an aorta repair.

Baby Dawson is doing great, currently at Children's Hospital in Vancouver. He has been using a CPAP machine to help with the final stages of lung development.

Candice remains at VGH, as she recovered from the emergency c-section and open heart surgery.

Dave has had to take a leave from work to share his time between his sick partner, and new baby boy. Denis is at home in Prince George with Grandma awaiting to start school in 2 short weeks.

Dave, Candice, Denis and now baby Dawson have been bombarded with medical challenges throughout their journey as a family.
