Last week, the Chitwoods' lives were impacted by an emergency visit to the hospital. Marissa (33 weeks pregnant) was experiencing shortness of breath, dizziness, nausea, and couldn't stand. After calling their doctor on January 27, Jordan rushed her to the hospital, where they admitted her to the ICU as they couldn't figure out what was wrong. Treatments continued to fail, and Marissa's numbers weren't improving.

Eventually, the medical team decided to deliver their baby girl, Chloe Chitwood, six weeks early. By the grace and kindness of God, momma and baby are healthy and progressing, but Chloe will be in the NICU for a while as she continues to grow and develop.

Because of the uniqueness of this situation, the Chitwoods' Christian healthshare program doesn't cover all expenses. I am asking our community to come alongside them in these extra expenses as they continue to balance this new life with a four-year-old at home and a baby girl in the NICU.

Jordan and Marissa are incredibly grateful for every single gift and are trusting God with their newborn child and the finances needed for continued care. Please continue praying that Chloe and Marissa continue to progress in a positive direction.

The funds will be used to help mitigate the cost of the unexpected medical bills for Marissa and Chloe.
