For Carter
Carter is Destany’s 10-week-old son, and their family is facing every parent’s worst nightmare. After Carter developed a high fever and swelling in his neck, he was taken to Cullman Regional Hospital. After being sent home, his condition became serious enough that he was transferred by ambulance from home to Children’s Hospital. Carter is now in the PICU on a ventilator, and he has already had major surgery to remove an abscess from the back side of his airway. He is expected to remain in the hospital for at least two more weeks while receiving IV antibiotics. At just 10 weeks old, Carter has already been through so much, and his family is doing everything they can to stay strong by his side.
While Carter’s mother stays at the hospital with him, his father is home caring for Carter’s big sister and is unable to work right now. This sudden medical crisis has created a heavy financial strain, and this fundraiser will help with lost wages and upcoming bills as the family focuses on Carter’s recovery. Any support for Carter and his family is deeply appreciated during this difficult time. And for anyone who may not be able to give, prayers for Carter and the whole family would mean so much.
