My name is Katy and i’ve started this gofundme for my brother, Miller Clayton and my sister in law, Alana.

At 28 weeks pregnant Alana was hospitalized with pre-eclampsia and a little over 24 hours later she was delivering their precious baby boy. Baby B came out breathing on his own and is doing well overall in NICU. He weighs 2lb 3oz and is 14 inches long! He is such a little fighter already and we are so proud of him!

For those unaware, pre-eclampsia is a very serious medical condition that can be deadly if left untreated. We are VERY thankful that Alana and baby B are both here and doing well. Alana has a long road to recovery as her BP and liver/kidney enzymes are still elevated. Alana may miss more work than previously anticipated and the family could be faced with paying their insurance out of pocket for a few months as Alana’s employment provides the insurance for their family. On top of that, Baby B will be in NICU for several months and Miller and Alana will have to make the drive from Southside to Birmingham multiple times a week. They also will need to find lodging while staying in Birmingham. I am raising these funds to help ease the burden that they will face in the months to come. We have full faith that Alana will make a full recovery and baby B will thrive in the NICU. I am asking the community, friends, and family to donate to this sweet family if you’re able.
