My name is Shannon, and I’ve created this GoFundMe to support my cousin and his wife as they care for their brave baby boy, Brooks

Meet Brooks, one of two beautiful twin boys recently welcomed into the world by loving parents who have been navigating an incredibly challenging and emotional journey. While both babies are strong and deeply cherished, Brooks has been facing serious medical complications since birth that have required ongoing care and extended hospital stay. 8 months to be exact.

Born weighing only 2 pounds, Brooks faced his first battle just hours after birth. His bowels were twisted and decaying, requiring emergency life-saving surgery at just 3 hours old. Since then, this little warrior has undergone multiple surgeries and procedures—including open-heart surgery, the removal of cysts that were blocking his airway, and several operations on his bowels.

Despite everything, Brooks continues to amaze everyone with his strength and his bright, joyful spirit. His courage inspires all who know him.

However, the cost of providing Brooks with the specialized care he needs has placed a significant financial strain on the family. The emotional toll of watching their newborn endure so much—combined with mounting medical bills—has been overwhelming.

The family is seeking to raise $10,000 to help cover Brooks’ medical expenses, including hospital stays, treatments, and ongoing follow-up care. Every donation—no matter the amount—will go directly toward supporting Brooks on his road to recovery and giving him the best possible start in life.
