Support Baby Bailey's Fight for Life

My name is Elena, and I’m the mother of a beautiful four-month-old boy named Bailey. His first months of life have been filled with challenges no child should face—but also with extraordinary strength and hope. Bailey recently underwent a life-saving liver transplant after being diagnosed with a rare metabolic disorder that left him critically ill shortly after birth. He is now in the PICU, recovering from surgery and showing the same determination that has carried him through every step of this fight. While I’m endlessly grateful for the medical care Bailey has received, the reality is that this journey has taken a significant toll on my personal life. The costs of staying by his side have been building up, and with discharge approaching, the financial strain is only increasing. When Bailey comes home, he will need 24/7 care, weekly therapy sessions, ongoing follow-ups with his transplant team, and participation in a research study that may one day help other children. His care will be my full-time responsibility, which means I won’t be able to return to work in the foreseeable future. I never imagined I would need to ask for help like this, but I’m doing everything I can to give Bailey the best possible start in life.
