Hello, this is our baby girl Avery. She was born on 12/16/25 and has been in the NICU since. She was born with very low blood sugar and a lot of fluids on her lungs. Doctors had to immediately put her on oxygen and get sugar pumping into her system so she could stabilize.
Update on baby Avery; Every NICU journey is a marathon, and while some may be short yet feel endless, ours has certainly been a long and winding road (3 weeks, 1 day and counting). The incredible nurses have been doing an amazing job making things as smooth and comfortable as possible, and I'm grateful to be able to watch baby Avery via the NICU live cam anytime. They even left me a sweet surprise message that melted my heart. In other exciting news, Avery has started on a dextrose 5% bag, which is the lowest concentration she'll be on, and the goal is to gradually decrease the IV flow to 1ml before we can bid farewell to sugar supplements. The next milestone will be getting her strong enough to feed on her own, and I know she'll get there!
Me and my wife are both having to miss work so we can be here with baby, and unfortunately, we are financially struggling and unable to pay our bills, We're not usually ones to ask for help, but we're desperate, and we can't leave our baby all alone. We also have our other 2 kids with us as they are out of school. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated!
