My name is Nicole and I'm looking to raise funds for my sister Stephanie and her family.

On November 20th at 2:00 am, after almost 24 hours of labor, Stephanie gave birth to a beautiful baby boy, Asher. She labored hard at home the majority of that time, but ended up having to go to the hospital to deliver, which became a c-section. She had to go back to the hosital for extremely high blood pressures and IV medications to help. That same week she found out that Asher was born with multiple heart defects, coarctation of the aorta, atrial septal defect, and a valve abnormality.

So at 22 days old, on December 13, 2024, Asher under went a closed-heart surgery (thoracotomy) to repair his heart. He did well, but he has a chest tube, due to the fact they had to collapse baby Asher's lung to get to his heart. He also remains intubated until his collapsed lung gets better, and some of his anesthisa has worn off. He will remain in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) at the local Children's hospital until he can be discharged.

We are hoping Asher will be out of the hospital before Christmas. Stephanie is self-employeed, and therefore, does no have the greatest insurance. She is working from the hospital when she can, which isn't much. I know her family appreciate anything you are able to donate towards, medical bills, house bills, and any other expenses she may encounter in this process. I
