My cousin Casey Wyatt gave birth to their second child Apollo Robert Wyatt Monday August 4th. Upon Apollo’s arrival the Dr.’s found that his esophagus was not fully formed and that it was restricting his breathing and making it impossible for him to eat on his own. He was rushed to the Milwaukee children’s hospital that night to discuss surgeries and plans on how to move forward with his treatment. The following day they found that he was also missing a kidney and had a hole in his heart. On Thursday August 7th they preformed surgery to help fix his esophagus and it had a positive outcome! He was overall diagnosed with having VACTERL Association which is a pattern of birth defects that has affected multiple of his body parts. This has led him to having Esophageal atresia, Tracheoesophageal fistula, a small to moderate hole in his heart, one kidney and a clubfoot. They still say it could be a month before Apollo can finally go home with his family so I’m starting this fund raiser to help with the medical costs, travel and to help with the time off his parents will have to take to be with the sweet boy. Anything is appreciated!
