Support Azula's Long-Term Recovery

Donation protected
My babygirl Azula had to be taken to the vet due to her loss of weight and yellowing/jaundice we were noticing. When we first started, we were told they thought it was cancer. After doing a biopsy and many, many tests later, we were told Azula's left lobe of her liver seems to have shriveled up and is no longer functioning. Although her right one is still there, it seems to have been compromised by copper accumulation, meaning her body just isn’t digesting it correctly. They came back with results of:

Active Cholangiohepatitis - could be inflammatory (i.e., non-infective) but most likely is an infectious/bacterial process we will address with broad-spectrum antibiotics.

Excessive Copper Storage Accumulation - this is likely the underlying disease process that has led us to today. This is managed by a number of medications and dietary changes to lessen the amount of copper in her body.

We are asking for any help while trying to pay off the medical bill we have accumulated. I would say right now we are about $6,000 in that we’ve spent. We are not quite done with testing, but we do know medication is going to be quite expensive as this is gonna be a long-term medication and food diet we’re going to keep her on. We appreciate anyone willing to donate or anyone willing to say a prayer in the name of our little Azula to get better.
