Support Azraella's Journey to Save Her Sight

Donation protected
UPDATE:
Azraella was seen by the retina specialist at Duke and it is recommended that at this point we keep monitoring her retina and follow up with Duke In December for a MRI and retina recheck . They are also sending Azraella for genetic testing to diagnose her with Charge Syndrome which comes along with having Coloboma . Azraella will need to go every 3 months to Duke and every 4 months to VCU .

Azraella was born with Coloboma. As a result, she is blind in her left eye and has scar tissue holding the optic nerve on the right eye. About 3 weeks ago, she started having some issues and was taken to her eye doctor. The eye doctor confirmed that Azraella was now dealing with a retina detachment in her only good eye and she would need to go to VCU immediately to see the retina specialist.

On October 11, Azraella traveled to VCU in Richmond to see the specialist and he confirmed she did have a retinal detachment and would need surgery immediately, but they didn’t have a pediatric retinal surgeon that could do the procedure. She would need to travel to Duke University in NC to have the procedure done. Azraella will be traveling this Tuesday, October 15, 2024, to meet with the surgeon and then surgery will follow.

As many know, traveling and medical care gets expensive, and we have created this page to try and help Azraella and her mom out with the expenses.

If you can’t donate, we ask that you just pray. Thank you to those that have helped and donated to help with Azraella's care.
